Anybody could here about geology, but what is it and what does geologists? This occupation is not popular in our time, but very needful I suppose. This field is not so common because actually we have huge percentage of unemployment geologists and this is the main reason why this direction is not so popular. But we gonna consider what is a geology like a science and what geologists does. Go ahead!
Geology is a science about our planet and geology learn the processes which occur on the Earth like tectonic movement, volcano activity and other processes like that. In geology exist so many brunches of studying – petrology, geochemistry, geophysics and other. The most interesting brunch in geology especially for me – is studying of rocks and minerals. We have so many different minerals in Earth and geology study what is it and how it created during the time.
What geologist does? If you have a geologist diploma – please don’t be so upset, you will work in other field. But if you was lucky and found a job, in this way what geologists can do? We have two main types of work – on the laboratory and in the pit, it is call exploration of deposits. The work in exploration is more interesting and adventures I suggest. But if you likes live in city with comfortable and convenient conditions the laboratory work is for you.
